Project on
"Inclusive Democratic Participation: Enhancing Education, Engagement, and
Oversight" (2025-2027)
As part of the “Support to Initiatives for Community Engagement in Culture,
Social Cohesion, and Democratic Participation” programme, ACRLI is
implementing the "Inclusive Democratic Participation" project in Lebanon, in
partnership with the European Center for Electoral Support (ECES) and with
the support of the European Union. Over a 24-month period, the initiative
aims to empower civil society organizations (CSOs) to promote democratic
education, improve electoral processes, advocate for legislative reforms,
and enhance oversight mechanisms to ensure transparency and accountability.

Project on The National Legal Digital Platform –NLDP (2022-2025)
The National Legal Digital Platform (NLDP) is an advanced and modernized approach to creating a national platform where all legal texts are stored and treated intelligently and systemically, by establishing a national system to modernize the printing and production of any legal text or non-confidential judicial rulings. This platform provides data for the development of artificial intelligence applications serving legal professions, as well as data for planning and enhancing the development of public and legal institutions that produce and regulate legal texts.

Project on “Decentralization and Local Governance in Iraq” (February-May 2022)
The project consists of developing assessment reports on the decentralization
and local governance system in Iraq, which will be written by Dr. Wassim Harb,
the founder and general supervisor of ACRLI with the support of the United

online threats, and privacy violations, with
negative impacts on victims.

Passing of Former Prime
Minister of Lebanon, Dr. Salim El-Hoss
The Arab Center for the Development of the Rule
of Law and Integrity deeply grieves the passing of
Dr. Salim El-Hoss, a valued member of our Board of
Trustees and our first President. The late former
Lebanese Prime Minister was distinguished by his
exemplary service in various public roles,
representing the highest principles of integrity,
respect for the law, justice, equality,
transparency, accountability, and the peaceful
transfer of power. Throughout his career, he
remained committed to avoiding personal benefit,
favoritism, or personal gain at the expense of
public funds or the public interest.
In 2018, the Center honored Dr. El-Hoss as the
"Personality of the Year for the Rule of Law and
Good Governance," recognizing his exceptional
dedication to these principles during his
distinguished career in both the public and private
sectors.
We extend our deepest condolences to all who knew
and worked with Dr. El-Hoss, and we pray for his
eternal peace.

Meeting to discuss the “National Legal Digital Platform” (December 2023)
|
ACRLI and its partner Madamek (Research and Study Firm in Informatics and Law) hosted his Excellency the former Minister of Higher Education dr. Hassan Risha and a distinguished delegation of lawyers and legal experts from Northwest University of Political Science and Law in China to learn about the new initiative developed by ACRLI's founder dr. Wassim Harb. This advanced initiative “National Legal Digital Platform” is based on advanced techniques to develop various legal professions and consolidate the rule of law by producing a set of informatics tools and systems that use artificial intelligence applications.

A Process to Draft Decentralization Law in
Lebanon |

On the 26th of May 2022, the Bar Associations of Beirut and Tripoli, in
collaboration with the Arab Center for the Development of the Rule of Law and
Integrity and the Decentralization and Development Organization, are launching a
legal and scientific process to lay the foundations for the administrative
decentralization law in Lebanon in order to promote administrative reform,
improve public services, combat corruption, promote economic and environmental
development, and thus ensure security stability.

consistent with international standars, national legislation, and best
practices; and to achieve coordination and integration among those involved with
children in conflict with the law, in particular among lawyers and social
service providers.
